SELF-AWARENESS
Human beings are made in the image and likeness of God. Just like God, we are creative, loving, caring. We are also different from other people. We look different, think different, want different things.
Dear learner, what makes you special?
God created us to be different from others. To be unique. Can you Google what unique means? Jane likes to draw, while Susan likes to dance. Mutua enjoys Math while Owino enjoys science and technology. Wafula enjoys watching cartoons in his free time while Patel likes to play basketball in his free time.
Psalm 139:13 – You created every part of me. You put me together in my mother’s womb.
In the book of Genesis chapter 1 verse 27, it says “God created them, making them to be like Himself. He created them male and female”
Thoughts And Feelings

From the list below, identify good and bad thoughts.
- Hitting someone.
- Sweeping my room.
- Helping my mom prepare dinner.
- Gossip and sharing lies about fellow students.
- Throwing papers at the teacher when she is teaching.
- Crossing the road badly.
- Obeying my parents.
- Reading the Bible
- Copying my friends exam.
Ephesians 4:26 -If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day.
Being angry is a normal human feeling. When you are displeased or when someone does something wrong to you, you might get angry. But it is important to control that feeling of anger and to be calm while still expressing yourself.
What things make you happy? This could include engaging in sports such as swimming, passing your exams, going for trips, playing video games, helping mom prepare dinner, helping dad fix the car or use his new too:l, etc.
Phillipians 4:4 – May you always be joyful in your union with the Lord. I say it again rejoice!
Making Choices
Everyday you make choices. You can either make good or bad choices. What is a good choice you made today, dear learner? Before you decide on something, you should think about it carefully.
In the Bible, we’re told the story of Daniel. The King stated that no one was allowed to pray to any other god apart from the King for 30 days. Because Daniel loved God, he made the choice to continue praying to Jehovah, his God. He was thrown into the den of lions but God protected him. He made a choice to honor God and God protected Daniel.
Can you think of two bad choices you made over last week? Write them down in the comment section!
You can also pray to God when you are finding it hard to make a good choice. God will guide you.
MY FAMILY
How many types of families do you know? Have you heard about nuclear families? How about extended families?
A nuclear family has two parents – dad and mum, and their children, living together in one home. Extended family has other members, for example, the grandparents may be living in the home too. We also have single parent homes where it’s the mom living with the children without the dad or the other way around.
Family members should respect and love each other. Family members should protect themselves from abuse. You should not allow anyone to touch your private parts. That is sexual abuse.

Balaam rode on a donkey to the Moabite land. On the way, the donkey saw an angel of God but Balaam did not. Balaam hit the donkey several times but it refused to move. The donkey even spoke and asked Balaam why he was beating it? All of a sudden, Balaam was able to see the angel! The angel then told Balaam that the donkey refused to move because of him. The angel had sent by God to stop Balaam from going to Moab and that if the donkey had not turned aside, Balaam would have been killed. Balaam repented of his sin, but the angel told him that he should still proceed to the Israelites, but he should bless them instead of cursing them.

Pharaoh called the wise men of Egypt to intepret the dream, but they were unable to. Only Joseph was able to because of his God-given ability. He intepreted the dream to mean that in the land of Egypt, there would be seven years of abundance, followed by seven years of famine.

Do Not Revenge – Matthew 5:39

A mustard seed is the tiniest seed on earth. Jesus compared a mustard seed to the Kingdom of God. When a mustard seed is planted, it later becomes one of the largest of all garden plants, with big branches that birds can perch on. It also means that a small amount of faith can accomplish great things.

What are some of your personal items and their uses?
Holiness
To be holy is to avoid sin and to do what pleases God. God is happy when we are holy just like Jesus was holy. The Bible says that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says
“Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God. He bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God’s glory”
We should use our bodies in a way that honors God because He is the one who created us.

A church is a building where people go to worship God. It can also refer to Christians who meet to worship God.

We show our respect in church by dressing well, being quiet during the service, not being late for church and keeping our phones on silent.
Can you write a poem about respecting the church?
Read 1 Corinthians 14:26. What does it say people should do while in church and why?

Can you remember the names of Jesus disciples?
The beginning of the early church
After Jesus went to heaven, the Holy Spirit fell on his disciples. They became very courageous and began to preach the Word of God. Peter told people to repent. He told them that Jesus, who they had crucified, was now Lord. They felt very bad and asked what they were supposed to do. Peter told them to repent and be baptized. When one is baptized, they go under water. Many of the people listening to Peter repented and 3,000 people were added to the church that day.
Standing Firm in Faith
This means believing in God even when you meet problems and temptations. When we feel weak and afraid, we should pray to GOD because He will strengthen us.

The Jewish leaders were very angry and took him outside and stoned him. His final words were asking God to forgive them. As he was being stoned, people left their clothes with a young man called Saul.
Why You Should Not Join Ungodly Groups
Ungodly groups do not honor and respect God. They do not have the fear of God in them that makes them think twice before sinning against God. Ungodly groups could have young people who smoke and drink alcohol, gossip or are violent and commit illegal acts.
The Lord’s Prayer
Jesus taught this prayer to His disciples to them how to pray and it has been passed down to us to help us pray too. It is found in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
